Safety equipment in the workplace
Nothing should be more important to a company than to ensure their workers are working in a safe environment. Although more suitable for some businesses than others, safety equipment is a must have.
Building sites are the places where the most safety equipment can be found with good reason due to the dangerous environment workers operate in. Safety goggles, steel-toed boots (boots and not shoes as boots offer more support for the ankles and moving around on uneven ground as building sites often are having support is vital) and helmets are the essentials but there are other items that are found there.
Hearing protection is required if workers operate or work close to loud machinery as well as gloves. A waterproof jacket and trousers may also be supplied by some companies but others the employee themselves have to buy them.
