Entering Into A Bar Mirror Dream
Slowly I moved down the Berber carpet stairway cautiously holding onto the railing. When I made to the bar, I caught a quick look of myself in one of the custom bar mirrors . I saw the phrase "The fun never ends" etched into the bottom of the mirror. Is that correct? How long can the celebration carry on? Surely it was a pleasurable evening. Buddies, a lovely meal and a glass of wine made it a special evening - perhaps a lot more than just one glass of wine.
Checking out the image of my tired eyes reflected in the bar wall mirror , I changed my mind about having a gin and tonic after all. Exhausted, I settled onto the sofa and switched on the television. Home and Garden TV always has something on that will put me to snooze. It must have been very relaxing because I shortly fell into a deep sleep. "This has to go. One of the anchors of the home improvement show was in my dream as well. He pointed to the ceiling, showing me the splits. He began with the ceiling above my living space. "This roof covering could be easily substituted," he stated. He steps over to the bar and views in the custom bar mirror at his biceps out-thrusting of his brown overalls and flexes. We were standing next to my home-based bar. He gazed at it with approval and smiled. "Give me a whisky," he says to Holmes. "Well, you look like you' re 17 so I will not hand you a whisky," Holmes snorts back.
He took a nip from his drink and gazed around the bar. "The only thing I would change about this room is the color," he stated, still sipping. "Seriously, you are going to leave this space painted tan?" Genevieve begins peeling back the blue tape and positioning it haphazardly on the walls. We finished the entire room in little amount of time, something I could never do in my waking life. She stops at the bar where Mike Holmes is handing David Bromstad his drink. He drank his drink and said, "See, this room just needed a fresh coat of paint."
Suddenly, I am very aware that I am in the attendance of the best interior designer, and that my dwelling is not geared up for his critical eye. Not having this season's niftiest paint colors on my walls was the least of my worries. Although I was dreaming, I felt flustered by my home's old-fashioned décor. Once again, we were back in my household bar. "This bar mirror is lovely," she says. "Did you create the etched mirror?" I informed him I had made the etching particularly for this mirror. "Wow, that makes this place feel really special", he told me. Holmes grunts, snags a chainsaw and cuts my bar in half. He didn't seem disturbed about what he was executing at all. We are all quickly sporting eye protection.
I heard a voice, sounding as though it was coming from inside my dwelling. It stated, "Will the Hudsons choose the home with the swimming pool, the fixer upper, or the house with half a bar and some good-looking individualized bar mirrors?"
I hear my wife's voice stating, "Rise, honey." I notice my wife is starting to switch off the TV as I come out of my weird dream. "I want to find out which house the Johnsons selected," I told her sleepily. She seemed puzzled for a moment. "Oh, the show…they selected house number three," she told me.
As I move back up the stairway I smile getting it was the sawed off bar and individualized bar mirrors that they couldn't resist.
