Resurfacing Your Bathtub? Here's A Money Saving Tip
I don't know about you, but here recently, I went into my bathroom and the bathtub really bothered me. My family was coming over and there were stains in there since before I moved in, not to mention the color was some hideous green color. Now, don't get me wrong, I like green, but not in my bathroom. So I went out and started looking for a new tub, and let me tell you, they are outrageous. A friend of mine mentioned that she and her husband had gotten an old Claw Tub and were going to resurface it.
Now, I have to admit I was thinking all kinds of things and wondered how they were going to do it and not ruin the tub. Well, she and her husband told me how and my husband explained it a bit more to me. Now, with some more research to fill in any gaps I have left, I am going to tell you.
To start, you need to be sure you have the right tools and instructions. The instructions can be hard to find, but if you look hard enough, both online and off, you will find the right book, website, or video for you. Once you have the instructions, it will give you the list of tools needed.
I am including a list I found online; low-pressure sprayer and compressor, bucket, sponges, paper towels, exhaust fan, plastic sheets, paper tape dispenser, small paper cup, 5-in-1 painter's tool, putty knife, spreader, stir stick, 240-grit sandpaper, scouring pads, respirator, rubber gloves, safety glasses, two-part cleanser, two-part filler, fine filler putty, chemical adhesive, base, catalyst, primer reducer, and paint thinner.
Once you have gathered these from any hardware store and maybe your favorite store, you can move on to the next step. Also, if you are like me and are wondering what the exhaust fan is for and if you can use the one in the bathroom, sorry, no. The exhaust fan is to help remove the fumes from the Toxic Chemicals. So, the first thing to do is set it up where the hose is blowing the fumes out. Next, you rough clean the bathtub until you see the original white coloring and all adhesives and varnish are removed. Make sure to wear the gloves to protect your skin and safety glasses for your eyes for this part.
Once you have done this, thoroughly clean and rinse the tub, to prepare it for the primer. The primer is your base coat to help hold the new coloring on. You want to use clean paper towels for this, since they need to stay clean and you would not be able to use the towels again. This is the time you fill any chips, cracks, or damaged parts using the putty. Once the putty is dried, take a dry cloth and wipe away any dust or loose particles.
Apply the chemical Adhesive to the surface next. While you are doing this, you can be letting the compressor charge up. Once everything is ready to go, it is time to paint. Yeah.
Make sure you have the respirator on and make a few practice strokes. This is where the scraps of cardboard come in and if you can find the shiny type, well, that's even better. Once you are sure of your hand and the sprayer, it is time to begin applying the first coat to your tub. Once that coat is done, wait 30 minutes before applying the topcoat. Once this is on you have to wait about 48 hours for it to completely dry. Remember to go over your topcoat to smooth out any rough edges.

Online Gambling Would Benefit the USA
With the effects of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) making themselves clear one month after the bill was made into law, many are asking themselves 'What are its benefits?'.
The US government says that it passed the UIGEA law because it was worried about a rise in online gambling addiction. Since online casinos put gambling access into every home in America, they believe that Americans are now at a severe risk of developing gambling addictions. However, as the government shouts about an online gambling addiction epidemic, studies show that no major rise in gambling addiction exists. In fact no large rise has taken place in gambling addictions over the last 10 years, almost the whole lifespan of the online casino industry.
Current speculation claims that the real reason behind the UIGEAis that online casinos are not based in the USA and therefore are not taxed by the US government. After a year or so of the UIGEA being in effect, many of the 3,000 small online sites will have gone out of business (it's already started), and only the largest online casino companies will be left standing. Legalized online casinos would bring billions into the United States economy, and rumors already exist that Vegas casinos are pushing to repeal the ban and take advantage of the wide open gap in the industry.

The casinos that are refusing to leave the US market are more often than not the smaller and less regulated casinos. This is putting Americans in danger of identity theft. The Distinction Between Building A Wooden Speed Boat And Other Wooden Boats
When you are going to undertake Building Wood Boats, the first thing you want to decide is the use of the boat. Understanding Planing Hulls

A true 'Deep V' hull will have 20 to 24 degrees of V at the transom while a Moderate V hull is one with around 20 degrees of V at the transom. Suffice to say that a hull having a V at the transom of 20 degrees or more can be securely categorised being a deep V and probably should not be regarded as a long distance or cruising boat.
Virtually all planing wooden hulls are single chine configuration and many have 'chine flats' or 'planing chines' and occasionally 'planing strakes' that assist with getting onto, and maintaining the planing attitude. Most builders will concur that chine flats are desirable on all planing craft. However, intermediate planing strakes might not beneficial if your wooden speed boat is not going to be traveling more quickly than 30 knots. Planing chines or flats, will begin with a small flat near the bow, that will gradually increase in width to the widest point just aft of amidship and will keep this width through the stern. The downward cant throughout its duration will determine the efficiency of the 'chine flat'.
Deep V hulls perform nicely at high speeds in rough water. This performance makes them exceptional racing boats. While most deep V wooden speed boats are designed to travel from about 30-35 knots, some more refined speed boats can easily attain speeds up to 50 knots.
Planing hulls, deep V hulls are very popular designs in the event you like to feel the speed and are prepared to equip it with the engine that will facilitate the speed, at a high fuel cost I might add.
Should you be planning on working your boat at minimal speeds, you are going to not be delighted with the overall performance of a wooden boat having a deep V hull; the bow wave can be most uncomfortable for a rider.
The most significant factor in planing hull efficiency is weight, specifically the amount of weight per sq. foot of hull bottom. Because of this a wooden speed boat's cockpit will probably be quite scant as to not add weight.
